Threads in Conversation

Light Bureau ↗ / 2026

Threads in Conversation is a fictional study beginning with the observation of textile in everyday life. Rather than offering a fixed answer, it makes room to look at form at your own pace.

Vertical and horizontal threads alternate between dense and open areas. Small shifts keep the rhythm from becoming rigid. Look closely to see the structure, then step back to read it as a field of colour.

On a second look, a familiar thing can become a new question. Read this study alongside other collection objects, comparing negative space, weight and the rhythm of surfaces.

LOOKING NOTES / A SECOND LOOK

Three questions for a closer look.

  1. Where does your eye land first? Compare an edge with the space around the form.
  2. If Textile became a different material, how might the sense of weight and touch change?
  3. What does this form recall from everyday life? Save it and compare it with another object on your trail.
